New GPS running watch

Was reading this, remembered we had a blog :)

Nike+ Sportwatch GPS... wonder if it's as good as the 405. Looks a bit smaller but with a bigger easier to read display..... hmmmmm..
linky

Anyway... big cycle last weekend, big rest all this week. Getting out right now to do a slow 5.

Couple of races this weekend?

Raheny 5 2011

Well done to all, some great running. So great it was hard to pick a best run from the group! But with two babies, a dangerous lack of sleep and a biased judge, Selena takes run of the day.

Niall ran ~5 minutes faster than he's been able to manage in trainng, while Sel hammered the 40 minute barrier with Steve, both of them making a mockery of the dreaded 40. Laura decided that my pacing was too slow after 200 meters and flew off finishing in a very quick mid 30s time while Alf was boringly efficient and fast despite a lack of training. I ran with Sel (Laura wouldn't keep us company), and kept a close eye on Steve, and had the best fun in a race I've ever had, so thanks to the pair of you. A great turn out from our spectators too, thanks to Dee, Anna, Caroline, Ben, nana and grandad Mc, Sophie, Liam, Meg... I'm sure I missed some peoples, but you're the reason we bother finishing!

Raheny 5 draws closer

Long time no post.... long time no run!

I'm finally back on the road getting in some low mile stuff. This is mostly down to Sel getting into things and dragging me out.

Both Lara and Sel ran a sub 40 minute 5 mile yesterday (Coast, Baldoyle, Donaghmede, Kilbarrack road route), and even tagged on another 1/2 KM to the run. Hopefully they can replicate this in the race on Sunday.

Confirmed entries so far from: Alf, Steve, Niall, Sel, Laura, myself.

Well Done 1/2 Marathoners!

Kev, Niall and myself were down at the Phoenix Park today as spectators to cheer on Alf, Steve and Zuzana who all ran great races. Despite the rain, they were all happy at the finish!

Missed a day because of my failed lab, and an 8 miler on Thursday turned into a 5 miler thanks to a dodgy stomach. LSR was 15 Miler up the coast and back. Very very tiring week.
